Frank Lill & Son, Inc. was contracted to convert this central heating facility from coal to natural gas/No.6 Oil back in 1987. This project included extensive demolition of coal handling and firing equipment, construction of a temporary boiler house to be used during renovations, installation of new burners, refractory modifications to existing boilers, a new heat recovery system with associated flue breeching, new oil unloading and storage tank farm facilities, and installation of a new Direct Diogenes Computer Control System.
