Frank Lill & Son, Inc. was awarded an eight-figure contract for the modernization and conversion of (4) existing 200,000# St./Hr. field erected boilers. We were charged with converting the units to fire natural gas and #2 fuel oil in lieu of existing # 6 fuel oil. This project included the replacement of all boiler refractory settings, installation of a new DCS control system, and upgrading the Central Power Plant to meet environmental air emission requirements for these new fuels.
